Step-by-Step: How to Adjust Your Helmet

Step 1. Place the helmet level on your head, just above your eyebrows. Unlock the strap dividers.
Step 2. Hold the buckle under your chin. Slide the strap divider just beneath your earlobe. Lock it.
Step 3. Pull any slack across the back of the helmet and repeat Step 2 on the opposite side.
Step 4. Thread the chin strap through the buckle and fasten it. Tuck the strap into the keeper.
Step 5. Ensure the buckle clicks shut. Test it by pulling—it should not come apart.
Step 6. Adjust the chin strap snugly under your jaw. You should only be able to fit two fingers between your chin and the strap.
