Kona Secrets book available
Kona Secrets: Lessons learned from over 50 Kona Qualifications.
Knowledge doesn’t produce results, action does. Just knowing how to do something doesn’t guarantee success, especially something as difficult as qualifying for Kona; you have to put in the hours. In this book I share some of the lessons I learnt between being a back-of-the-pack beginner to qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
Marlin 5 is a trail-worthy daily rider that’s perfectly suited for everyday adventures, on and off the trail. A front suspension fork with 100 mm of travel, 21 speeds and mounts for a rack and kickstand make it an ideal choice for new trail riders or anyone looking for a comfortable, stable commuter with the ruggedness of a real mountain bike.
Highlights of the new bikes include a brand new frame. Internal cabling, fluid formed tubing offering a stronger, stiffer, lighter frame.
The Marlin 5 is available in two new colours, Matte black and Volt Green. Both have Treks new oversized logos on the down tube.
The Trek Marlin 6 comes in two colours, the Viper Red above and the Matte Trek Black with Green Logos below.
Upgrades over the Marlin 5 include:
- Upgraded suspension fork with hydraulic lockout.
- Shimano Altus 24 speed drivetrain.
The Trek Marlin 7 is what you might consider to be the first trail ready bikes of the Marlin range. Featuring a RockShox fork and upgraded drivetrain as some of the highlights.
Upgrades Over the Marlin 6:
- RockShox XC30
- Shimano Altus M2000 27 speed drive train
