Knowledge doesn’t produce results, action does. Just knowing how to do something doesn’t guarantee success, especially something as difficult as qualifying for Kona; you have to put in the hours. In this book I share some of the lessons I learnt between being a back-of-the-pack beginner to qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
The changes are a move to a standard handlebar and stem instead of the fully integrated one on the SLR, although you can upgrade at a later stage to the full aero, integrated one. The other change is a switch from 700 series carbon to 500 series.
The biggest differences between the Madone SL 6 Disc which we featured here and here and this model is the upgrade to full carbon clincher Bontrager Aeolus Pro 5 wheelset and the move to an Ultegra Di2 drivetrain. Click on through for the gallery and highlights.
